The phone comes with a Qwerty thumb pad which slides out of the body of device, just like some of the devices from HTC. Dominating the front side of the phone is a 2.78inches touch screen. The resolution of this screen is 420 x 240 pixels. The screen can display more than 262,000 colors. One of the unique features of this device is VibeTonz. This provides a vibration feedback which is somewhat similar to tactile feedback that you get when you use a traditional button.

This phone can operate on HSDPA networks. Available bandwidth can be as high as 7.2mbps. Other than this, the phone comes with a triband GSM radio and also features EDGE. Local connectivity is available in the form of USB and Bluetooth. Samsung has also made provisions for video calling. You can also view MS Office files on the phone. Unfortunately, there is no way to edit the files.

On the rear side of this phone, there is a 3 mega pixel camera. The camera can take still images as well as videos. Th phone comes with a secondary, VGA camera which is used for video calling.

Other options in this phone include the music player. The music player has been improved and is far more stable than other Samsung phones. Most of the popular codecs including MP3 AAC, eAAC+ etc are supported. The phone comes with decent amount of on board memory and more storage is available through MicroSD card slot. There is a video player on the phone which supports H.263, H.264, MPEG4 and Real Video files.
